One brave writer set out to discover the science of love – more specifically, the science of his love for his wife – and to find out if it’s as strong and real as he thought it was. He was put in an MRI scanner while thinking about and looking at photos of his wife and – tough competition – Angelina Jolie. The activity in certain areas of his brain supposedly tells him how strong his feelings of love, sexual attraction and romantic attachment really are.

Would you dare (literally) show your emotions like that ? And, more importantly, would you want to show them to the woman you love?

Or, as another article puts it: Bad luck bimbos: Intelligent women have better sex, which doesn’t exactly nail it either. The truth about the study is less spectacular, but it makes a lot of sense: women with a high emotional intelligence are more in touch with their feelings, so when it comes to sex,  they know what they want, what they like and are able to articulate it. This leads to easier, more regular orgasms.

Of course, whether or not an orgasm in itself equals great sex is a different question altogether. Most women would probably not equate the two and argue that you can have great sex without an orgasm, while vice versa you can also have an orgasm although the sex isn’t that great.

What the study does tell us is something all women should keep in mind: your sex life benefits when you are in touch with your own needs and emotions. Most men would probably agree – because there is nothing sexier than a woman who is smart and knows what she wants!

Some of the women, Madonna for instance, might not be everyone’s idea of sexy and one might say of some (like Ellen Barkin and Cher) that not every part of them is over 50, but while clicking through the picture gallery, you can’t help but admire how sexy women over 50 (some of them way over) look.

To look at some of them, you would hardly believe they’re over 50. Christie Brinkley, Iman or Geena Davis come across all youthful radiance and flawless skin, with barely a wrinkle in sight.

But sexy women don’t have to look young, as the sexy women over 50 prove. Hellen Mirren or Goldie Hawn look their age, but their charisma makes them very sexy despite – or maybe even because of – their age!

While not everyone will agree with all the choices of the jury – made up of well-known older women like Candice Bergen – and some choices are certainly not everyone’s idea of sexy (Arnold Schwarzenegger? really?), it’s nice to see sexy men needn’t always be skinny youngsters that have barely reached puberty. Some of the sexy men over 50 are probably sexy due to their power, fame or money, but some are just genuinely attractive older men with experience and a few wrinkles. My favourite sexy older man is David Bowie!

Next we’ll have to find a list that honours sexy women over 50.

Chickipedia is really about hot women, beautiful women, sexy women, but rarely about successful women. Hence Maggie Gyllenhaal has her own entry and Maggie Thatcher doesn’t. Successful women just aren’t as popular as hot women, beautiful women or sexy women.

We did, however, find one successful woman , but why should she be the only one?

After 10 hours of theory, teaching men tricks and successful flirting strategies, they put their knowledge to the test by trying to pick up beautiful women in bars. A lot of the „Pick Up Artist“ strategies are little more than pick up lines with good delivery and a clever follow-up that leads into genuine conversation. Obviously, a lot of otherwise great men get rejected for corny pick up lines, so what’s the harm in these men memorising a few phrases if those openers give them the chance to let their true selves shine?

Other strategies to pick up beautiful women, however, sound nothing short of manipulative. “Trust” has nothing whatsoever to do with trust, but with manipulating a woman to do anything men want. This involves men lying and acting as the situation demands. Do men really want women who go to bed with them based solely on psycho-manipulation? We probably don’t want to know the answer….
