Single Bells – Singles in the UK at Christmas
Last week we wrote about Singles at Christmas and listed a few reasons to be happy about not being in a relationship at Christmas. Well, it’s as if the poll team read our minds, because it turns out that the be2 singles survey for the past few weeks has been about singles at Christmas. be2-singles from the UK, Germany, the USA, France, Italy and Spain took part in the Singles at Christmas survey, but obviously we’re mainly interested in the answers given by singles from the UK.
Most singles from the UK (67%) said they spend Christmas with their family, the rest spends it with friends or alone. More than 64% say they like Christmas but that they would prefer to be in a relationship as they feel lonely as singles at Christmas and would like to have someone to celebrate with. The majority of singles from the UK even thinks there’s nothing positive at all about being single at Christmas. Only 16% think it´s nice to have time for themselves – if they were in a relationship they would have to share their spare time with someone.
