Belgium, where I spent the best of my college years.

That is why we are happy to support Operation Christmas Child. With 18 others from the be2 team, armed with 20 shoe boxes, 50 meters of wrapping paper, scissors, glue and loads of Christmas presents, we are wrapping packages that children in need across the world will open at Christmas. Last year, Operation Christmas Child was able to provide more than a Million children with a present to open at Christmas – thanks to generous donations and the help of many shoebox-packers.

This year many be2 staff are taking part, packing Christmas gift boxes for a few hours after work. Do you want to give a Christmas gift to a child in need? Taking part in Operation Christmas Child is simple:

- You’ll need a shoe box, wrapping paper to embellish the box, elastic bands to close it.
- Fill the box with presents for a boy or girl, aged 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14.
- Hand in the box at a Drop Off Point near you until 18th November.

1. How do you contribute to be2 members finding the love of their lives?
I work on bringing more attention from Portuguese speaking singles around the globe towards be2 and spreading the word and image about our pioneer matchmaking services in Brazil. The Brazilian blog is the perfect medium to discuss themes that our users care about, and help them on issues like relationships, love, dating tips, singles life, be2 couples, flirting online, etc.

2. What do your friends ask about your job at an online matchmaker?
They ask me about the difference between matchmaking and dating sites, and many of them confirm to me that they know someone who searched and found his/her love online.

3. What do you find most important in online matchmaking?
“If physically presence is not real, the info about you must be real”.

4. Which be2-country is important to you personally?
I have two favorites countries in my heart! be2 Portugal, which is my be2 country which I’ve helped to launch and, be2 Brazil because I keep falling in love with Brazilian culture and people each day more and more…

We invited be2-members across the world to try out the full be2 Premium-Membership, free of charge. Certain services at be2 are usually only available to Premium Members, like reading and writing messages without limit, seeing other be2 members’ photos or finding out visitors to your own profile.

The result of our free matchmaking-„Sneak-Preview“ was overwhelming: More than 150.000 members worldwide wrote thousands of messages, added photos and updated their profile – after all, even if it’s free matchmaking, first impressions count!

Now that autumn got off to a good start with be2’s free matchmaking, we’re looking forward to lots of new love stories : of romantic walks, rainy days and cuddling to keep each other warm…

1. How do you help people find love?
Oh, I have my methods… but seriously: I am currently working in International Business Development – meaning I analyse single life, internet use, competition, language and other relevant factors and develop strategies accordingly to launch be2 internationally. One day, be2 members will be able to find love with international matchmaking anywhere in the world, regardless of place and time.

2. What do friends ask about your job with an international matchmaking agency?
Some are surprised that I decided to take a job at a young internet company, rather than an established consulting firm or a large company. I wanted to learn and enjoy my job.

3. What’s important in the international matchmaking business?
That members are serious about finding love, that personality and values are the basis for the matching process. I personally think that hobbies and interests are less important, because I could learn to be enthusiastic about new activites and want to learn from my partner.

4. Which be2 country are you connected to, personally?
India, of course! I was born in Berlin, but my family comes from India and am delighted that I am able to help be2 offer its international matchmaking service to modern Indian singles.

I let singles know of the Italian online dating service be2 offers through our marketing campaigns. With the success of our marketing campaigns be2 grows, creating more chances to find love.

Well, they are very curious because it’s a new industry and there are not so many people who work in it. The questions are sometimes a bit funny – my favourite one is if I arrange meetings between our users!

3. What do you find most important in online matchmaking?

The most important thing is to let others find out about you. If you share information about yourself and are open and sincere, you will attract singles who have something in common with you.

4. Which be2-country is important to you personally?

Well, I work for be2 Italia and I come from Bari, that is in the wonderful land of Puglia, South of Italy. (I strongly suggest you to come and visit it!) …so I am fan of Italy!
